TYPE APPROVAL INSPECTOR AND CLIENT MANAGER - JAPAN (AUTOMOTIVE)
REF. H-INS
Site Japan (Nagoya)
Tasks You will report to the International and Development Director. You will be located in Japan (Nagoya). Your mission will be organized as follows:
  • General Management
    • Supervise the existing operations from local office (Nagoya) and be the interface with French Technical services when needed
    • Recruit local human resources when needed and be the interface for the French HR team
    • Manage client operations from order to invoice while being the interface with French HQ when needed (Sales, Finance and IT services)
    • Provide a detailed reporting on a regular basis through qualitative and quantitative analysis (P&L)
    • Ensure local site operational management (Offices installations, administrative set-up, IT…)
  • Type Approval Operations
    • Testing inspector able to witness general technical items for whole vehicle type approval, on all different tests premises
    • A consistent experience in the field of general safety is a plus
    • Manage the local team to ensure consistency and efficiency of operations with close contact with French Type approval team
    • Propose a development plan to promote and develop type approval business with local clients
    • Ensure the implementation of the development plan
The above duties are not limited and might be extended upon request from management
Qualifications Desired skills and experiences:
  • University degree in automotive engineering or related discipline is a plus
  • Native Japanese is a must while having a fluent level of English
  • Past experience working for a technical service (VCA, TUV…) or an OEM with a proven experience in Vehicle Type Approval/Homologation is a must. General technical knowledge and previous experience in the Automotive Industry will be differentiation criteria
GENERAL MANAGER USA – CERTIFICATION BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
REF. USA-MAN
Site USA (Detroit)
Tasks You will report to the International and Development Director. You will be located in the USA (ideally in Detroit). Your mission will be organized as follow:
  • General Management
    • Supervise the existing operations with local office and be the interface with French technical services when needed
    • Recruit local human resources when needed and be the interface with the French HR team
    • Manage operations from order to invoice while being the interface with French HQ when needed (Sales, Finance and IT services)
    • Provide a detailed reporting on a regular basis through qualitative and quantitative analysis (P&L)
    • Ensure local site operational management (Offices installations, administrative set-up, IT…)
  • Type Approval Operations
    • Manage the local team to ensure consistency and efficiency of operations with close contact with French certification team
    • Propose a business development plan to promote and develop certification activity with local clients and prospects
    • Ensure the implementation of the development plan
The above duties are not limited and might be extended upon request from management
Qualifications Desired skills and experiences:
  • Master degree in Business or Engineering ideally with experience in certification
  • Past experience working for a certification body or an OEM with experience in certification (system certification)
  • Business development and management experience would be a plus
  • Technical knowledge and previous experience in the Automotive Industry would be a differentiation criteria
GENERAL MANAGER UK – CERTIFICATION AND TYPE APPROVAL DEVELOPMENT

Site UK (depending on your existing location)
Tasks You will report to the International and Development Director. You will be located in UK (depending on your existing location).Your mission will be organized as follow:
  • General Management
    • Supervise the existing operations along with the local team in Bristol and being the interface with French services when needed
    • Manage the local team (X persons in Bristol) and be the interface for the French HR team
    • Manage client operations from order to invoice while being the interface with French HQ when needed (Sales, Finance and IT services)
    • Provide a detailed reporting on a regular basis thanks to qualitative and quantitive analysis (P&L)
    • Ensure local site operational management (Offices installations, administrative set-up, IT…)
  • Certification Operations
    • Manage the local team to ensure consistency and efficiency of operations in close contact with French certification team when needed
    • Propose a development plan to promote and develop certification business with UK clients
    • Ensure the implementation of the development plan
  • Type Approval Operations
    • Propose a development plan for Type approval activities along with existing client portfolio as well as with new clients in a context of Brexit
    • Ensure the implementation of the development plan

    Qualifications Desired skills and experiences:
    • University degree in automotive engineering or related discipline
    • Past experience working for an OEM with a proven experience in Type Approval
    • Business development and management experience might be a plus

    BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – AUTOMOTIVE GERMANY (OEM’S MARKET)
    REF. GER-MAN
    Site Germany
    Tasks You will report to the International and Development Director. You will be located in Germany. Your mission will be organized as follow:
    • Sales development with German OEM’s
      • Sales development of the local market to sell local services (active safety) and French technical services when needed
      • Proposition of a detailed action plan in line with marketing and sales strategy
      • Close relationship with HQ technical services to maximize sales efficiency
    • Reporting/Support :
      • Regular reporting regarding projects progress :
        • Activity follow up indicators opportunities/proposals/wins/losses
        • Development plan progress
      • Pro-activity regarding strategic orientations related to assigned markets (German OEM and OES)
    Qualifications Desired skills and experiences:
    • University degree in automotive engineering or related discipline
    • Ideally several years in business development (B2B) working for an engineering service providers (Alten, Magna, Akka, Bertrandt,…)
    • Technical knowledge and previous experience in the Automotive Industry would be a differentiation criteria
    • Fluent in German; French and English as a pre-requisite
    GENERAL MANAGER CHINA – TYPE APPROVAL & TESTING BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

    Site China (Shanghai)
    Tasks You will report to the International and Development Director. You will be located in China and ideally in Shanghai. Your mission will be organized as follow:
    • General Management
      • Supervise the existing operations along with the local team (4 persons) and position as the interface with French services when needed
      • Manage the local team and be the interface for the French HR team
      • Manage client operations from order to invoice while being the interface with French HQ when needed (Sales, Finance and IT services)
      • Provide a detailed reporting on a regular basis thanks to qualitative and quantitative analysis (P&L)
      • Ensure local site operational management (Offices installations, administrative set-up, IT…)
    • Business Development
      • Type Approval activities
        • Propose a detailed strategic action plan to ensure development of the type approval business along with local manufacturers (OEM, OES)
        • Meet target clients on a regular basis to update the market expectations as well as detailed client needs
        • Develop local marketing tools to support sales
        • Develop the business in line with the global strategy
      • Testing activities
        • Proposed a detailed strategic action plan to ensure development of the testing business in China along with local manufacturers (OEM, OES)
        • Meet target clients on a regular basis to update the market expectations as well as detailed client needs
        • Develop local marketing tools to support sales
        • Develop the business in line with the global strategy
      • Partnership developments
        • Identify potential partners to support development in China (provide analysis for further decisions)
        • Ensure partnership relationship

    Qualifications Desired skills and experiences:
    • Past experience in the automotive testing and type approval business
    • Business development and management experience is a plus
    • Technical knowledge (Type approval, Testing) and previous experience in the Automotive Industry would be differentiation criteria
    • Chinese as a native language and fluency in English is a must. French would be decisive criteria
    GENERAL MANAGER FOR CHINA SUBSIDIARY
    REF. DIR-CHN-Sept15
    Site: The position is based in Wuhan in China and regularly travel is expected in China and France.
    Tasks Its missions are:
      Technically:

    • Helped by the teams in place, he guarantees the smooth operation of the subsidiary and the quality of service to customers.
    • He participates in the technical development through the establishment and maintenance of a network of key contacts, the establishment and operation of partnership / cooperation.
    • He proposes solutions to improve growth and our efficiency.

    • On the HR plan:

    • He provides effective leadership in managing the human resources on site.
    • He reflects, transmits, educates and keeps the group's values among all employees in the area.
    • He participates in the recruitment and management of local staff, assisted in this task by the headquarters staff.
    • He proposes the HR development plan to 3 years to align resources and skills based on business.

    • On marketing and business plan:

    • He develops our growth in promising markets. He is responsible locally for the implementation of the strategy of the group.
    • He ensures the development of the subsidiary with major players in the market on priority service lines defined by the Executive Committee.
    • He is the local relay on marketing strategy of the group (marketing mix).

    • On the financial plan:

    • He is in charge of sales and gross margin of Chinese activity in connection with the sales of the headquarters (taking into account the work delegated to teams in France).
    • He establishes the budget, proceeds to revisions in conjunction with the Executive Committee and ensure monitoring.
    • Oversees reporting functions, accounting, treasury.
    • He oversees relations with local authorities, banks, IRS, auditor.
    Qualifications
    Profile sought to ensure this mission:
    • Experience in development and management subsidiary abroad.
    • Multicultural Management.
    • Knowledge of the automotive industry, certification and testing.
    • Languages: Chinese and English fluent, French would be a plus.
